The Doors
Hi people, I've just returned from Paris, where I've also visited Jim Morrison's tomb, so I thought it was the right time to post a Doors' clip.Sincerely I'm not the greatest Doors' fan, I think their music was a little monotonous, and Jim Morrison has been overvalued as a singer and poet...but I'm probably one of the few on the planet who thinks so, and certainly most of you will enjoy this video.
This is the famous live perfomance of Light My Fire (the short single version) at the Ed Sullivan Show, on 1967. On that occasion they had been asked to modify the line "girl we couldn't get much higher", that could sound as a reference to drugs. Jim Morrison didn't change the lyrics and, of course, the Doors were never invited at the Ed Sullivan Show again...

Youre not alone in your opinion about Morrison and The Doors. Sure I like them but do think they are way over-rated in every department!
Jims "poetry" I must confess, speaking as a poet myself is pure meaningless drivel no doubt written by the copious amounts of alcohol he drank.
In spite of all this, this is a great performance!

ciao Mirco, hai messo su un blog molto interessante; mi sono deciso a scriverti solo dopo aver visto che abbiamo due "profili" abbastanza vicini, anche se temo che per età anagrafica ci divida un abisso; per il cinema perf, d'accordo, per la letteratura quasi tutto, anche nello stesso ordine, solo io metteri pure qualche grande della fantascienza '60-'70 tipo SheckleyWyndhamBrown ed un posto speciale per GliSpiritiNonDimenticano di V.Zucconi;
per la musica, pur se amo alcuni dei generi che indichi, in un mio profilo ideale io metterei primi alla pari ZovietFranceZappaHendrix, poi il DarkAmbientExperimental, e subito dopo il rock '60, non tutto, BeatlesStonesSantanaDeepPurplePinkFloydWhoNYoungEtc..,ma fuori i Doors.

No, proprio entro nel link e poi non so dove muovermi! :-(((
Dunque, quando entri in Rapidshare clicca su "Free", poi digita il codice di 3 lettere o cifre che ti chiede ed apri il file. E' un documento di testo dove c'è scritto il link verso un'altra pagina di Rapidshare, da cui puoi scaricare il video...ripeti lo stesso procedimento, stavolta devi aspettare anche che scada un conto alla rovescia di circa un minuto. Per dezippare il video devi poi usare la password.
