Folk-rock

There's no need to explain much about The Byrds, they invented a new sound and their style, which rapidly evolved from electrified folk to psychedelia and then country-rock, is still very influential after forty years. But let's not forget about the Beau Brummels, another fine California band. Though not as good as The Byrds, they played in a similar vein, and their debut album came even a few months before the Byrds' one, in late '64. Now they are almost only remembered by the fanatics of sixties' music, and that's a pity.
